Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.
Mind – the mental healthy charity, believes no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. Mind will listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner.
Why we’re supporting Mind
Jane Braithwaite, Founder and Managing Director of Designated has chosen Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, to be the company’s Charity of the Year.
Jane says, “We chose Mind because it is something that can affect us all. Mental health is increasingly on the public agenda. I want the people that work for and with Designated to know that we take mental health seriously.”
“One of the reasons why I started Designated was to give people, from the experts who work for the company, to the business people who we support, the opportunity to have a better work/life balance. We offer the people who work for us the balance that they need. Relieving the stress from trying to juggle family life with progressing in their career. To the businesses and entrepreneurs who we work for, we offer solutions to avoid that burn out that can happen when the pressure is there to succeed and grow a business.”
“We genuinely care about mental health and well-being. I am proud of the company that we have built which puts this at the heart of what we do.”
Designated is raising money for Mind by taking part in the Thames Bridges Trek and a Virtual walking challenge.
Several ‘intrepid’ Designated team members will take on the Thames Bridges Trek on Saturday, 7 September, walking 25km across London’s infamous bridges.
Not to be outdone by the London team, several more of the Designated team will take on a ‘virtual’ challenge whereby they step the equivalent over the course of the week.
We are a fab team of home-based workers, and so we’ve made our own challenge up to ensure that we are all included!
