About Our Client
Activate Learning Education Trust
Activate Learning Education Trust (ALET) is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) established by Activate Learning in 2015. ALET transform lives through learning by providing exciting and innovative education for young people, by looking at how they learn as well as what they learn.
The Challenge
When ALET contacted Designated PA, it was their busiest time of year.
Staff queries needed to be responded to, and recruitment completed, ensuring all safer recruitment checks were carried out, but there were no HR staff in post at two of their school sites.
ALET’s HR Manager was already covering both these schools in addition to her own school, which meant keeping on top of all the recruitment was too much.
The Results For Our Client
Designated selected PA, Michelle, to support ALET with handling their HR admin during this busy period, on a remote role basis. She managed essential tasks such as:
- monitoring HR email inboxes and flagging issues,
- working through new staff recruitment checklists,
- liaising with existing staff on getting DBS checks and training,
- and ensured everything was ready for a handover to the new HR person, appointed at a later stage.
In total, Michelle supported ALET to process 9 new staff.
Nicola Griffiths, ALET’s HR Manager, said:
“To have the reassurance that Michelle was doing this work, keeping things ticking over and ensuring things were not getting missed was immeasurable.
I cannot recommend her highly enough, she was professional and reliable with an approachable manner and a can-do attitude, she was very proactive.”
